โครงการบริการวิชาการ  “Digital Media – International Seminar” เป็นโครงการที่เกิดจากการร่วมมือระหว่างคณะดิจิทัลมีเดีย สำนักงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยได้เชิญวิทยากร Dr. Maureen Furniss ซึ่งเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญและเป็นอาจารย์ทางด้านภาพเคลื่อนไหว School of Film/VDO, California Institue of Arts (CalArts)ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา เพื่อมาบรรยายและนำเสนอผลงานนักศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำที่มีการเรียนการสอนด้านดิจิทัลคอนเทนท์ จากสหรัฐอเมริกา

โดยโครงการ “Digital Media – International Seminar” ในครั้งนี้จะจัดขึ้นในวันอังคารที่ 29 มกราคม 2556 ณ.ห้อง Auditorium ชั้น 14 อาคาร 11 มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม(บางเขน)

ประวัติวิทยากร

Maureen Furniss, Ph.D. is a staff at the world-renowned California Institute of  Arts, (CalArts) in Valencia, California, USA. Dr. Furniss is one of those key mentors in many animator’s life, someone who’s helped guide them through their early passion for animation. She teaches animation history, theory, and production, at CalArts, and considered one of the most important scholars in the animation world today. She is a President of the Society for Animation Studies.

Besides being the founding editor of Animation Journal, she is the author of a number important books and articles, including Art in Motion: Animation Aesthetics, The Animation Bible: A Practical Guide to the Art of Animating from Flipbooks to Flash, Chuck Jones: Conversations (editor), and “Animation” (2,500 words overview), “Osamu Tezuka,”

She is also an Editorial Board Member for The Moving Image (Journal of the Society for Moving Image Archivists, published by University of Minnesota Press), and was a content expert for a multi-part television series on animation history and aesthetics.
