What is APEC Voices of the Future 2022 about ?
11 youth delegations were chosen as the representatives of Thai youth attended the APEC Voices of the Future 2022. Our prominent role was to be the voices for our youth and exchange cultural knowledge with other youth delegates from other economies. Together as one we were able to voice out our thoughts to APEC leaders, and the Prime Minister of Thailand.
Why did we choose to apply for the APEC Voices of the Future 2022 program ?
If there is one reason that has inspired me to join APEC Voices of the Future 2022, it’s our instructor, Dr. Vorasuang Duangchinda (Ajarn Charng). He may not realize it, but I see his enthusiasm for this program in me every time we talk. APEC Voices of the Future 2022 is an excellent opportunity for me to create and build bonds with other youth delegations from other economies and a great way to exchange different cultures and voices.
What was your experience and impression ?
APEC Voices of the Future 2022 has had a very positive influence on me. After being a part of the program, I know I will never be the same person. Thousand thanks to the people who prepared and led this program. I have done things I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing, like visiting the beautiful Vajiravudh College and NaRaYa Head office and making a DIY Elephant Keychain, attending cultural activities at Panyapiwat Institute of Management and the “Let’s Code” GOOGLE launch event, visiting and getting a tour of the PTTLNG EEC Facilities Maptaphut, and attending the CEO Summit 2022. Lastly, I would like to mention all the beautiful times I spent with other delegates from Thailand, Taiwan, Canada, New Zealand and other APEC economies. Every single one of you has made APEC Voices of the Future 2022 the best experience I have ever had. Vision alignment with other delegations has been a highlight of my experience in this event.
In what areas does SPU support you ?
All of the three delegates were blessed with all kinds of support from our loving university from day one. I would like to personally thank our President : Dr.Rutchaneeporn Phukkaman, Vice president : Ajarn Premjit Saowakon , Dean of School of Engineering : Asst. Prof. Dr. Chonlathis Eiamworawutthikul, and Dean of Sripatum International College : Dr. Kriangkai Pookayaporn for believing in us three delegates and always eager to help us in every way that we needed.
I would like to show my deepest gratitude to Ajarn Charng – Dr. Vorasuang Duangchinda (Director, Office of Online Education), Assistant Dean of College of Tourism and Hospitality : Ajarn Katair – Patchareeya Vipaseranee, and Ajarn Supaporn PeeRatan Samran of Sripatum International College for working so closely with us since our coaching day till the end of APEC programme.
Your heartfelt advice for the younger students ?
I believe that these opportunities are the best way to learn and grow in many different ways. I suggest all of you grab any opportunity offered to you. Believe me; it will be worth it. It may seem not easy at first but if you believe in yourself everything will work out just as you have planned. And It will be one of the best experiences you will ever have. So good luck to everyone out there that’s working hard and trying their best!
