Sripatum University in collaboration with the Office of the Higher Education Commission co-has organized the special event “The Student ASEAN Singing Contest 2015”. The contest aimed to enable students to realize the significance of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and to encourage them to develop their language skills (English and the languages of ASEAN countries). The top candidates were selected to participate in the final round contest which was held on November 20, 2015 at Bualuang Grand Room, Sripatum University. On this occasion, Sripatum University warmly welcomed the representatives of the Embassies in ASEAN member countries as the honorable guests to the event, namely; Mr. Phann Makara - First Secretary from the Royal Embassy of Cambodia, Mr. Ghofar Ismail - First Secretary from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, and Mr. Bounxay Chansina - Counselor of Education Sport and Culture from the Embassy of Laos. As conducted by the School of Communication Arts, the program started with Opening Speech by President of Sripatum University Dr. Rutchaneeporn P. Phukkamarn, followed by the singing contest in the languages of ASEAN countries.
